JUNIOR WEB DEVELOPER

Job Description:
A Northern New Jersey-based corporate communications agency is looking for a full-time Junior Web Developer. In this position, the Junior Web Developer will build front end/interfaces to develop static and dynamic web pages.

The ideal candidate should be tech-savvy, have experience in working on multiple projects simultaneously, excellent verbal and written skills and be able to work and interact within a team environment working with client managers, designers, etc.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of professional Web experience
• Understanding of how websites/applications are put together and the ability to interface with back-end programmers
• Ability to hand code HTML/CSS/JavaScript/XML
• Knowledge of W3C recommendations, Web standards, ADA/508 Compliance
• Integrating with third party technologies
• Mobile experience and an interest in App development
• A portfolio of work available to demonstrate accomplishments

Proficiency with Adobe CS5 Suite (specifically Photoshop and Dreamweaver; Flash and Illustrator a plus).

Essential Job Functions:

• Support the development and maintenance of Web-based applications and websites
• Provide maintenance, enhancement, programming of websites and applications
• Contribute to large-scale projects along with other assigned projects
• Work with various internal departments and clients on projects
• Contribute to the direction and development of the agency's projects and goals

Other Skills/Abilities (preferred, but not required):

• Experience with AJAX, jQuery, PHP, CGI, ASP.NET (1.1/2.0) and Web 2.0 technologies
• Experience with Flash ActionScript 2 & 3 and HTML5
• RSS scripting and implementation
• Graphic Design/Photoshop
• Agency experience
