Ollie Elizabeth Hartsfield

Director

Ollie joined The SPI Group as Director in 2006 and brings more than 20 years of experience in communications, specializing in writing and editing, creating online and traditional communications, effective project management, and providing strategic counsel to meet communications objectives. Her current client assignments include Merck and Pfizer.

Prior to joining The SPI Group, Ollie held a number of Internal Communications roles with AT&T and then Lucent Technologies. She joined AT&T in 1993 as a Senior Writer for the corporate employee magazine; following a major corporate restructuring in 1995, she served in Corporate Communications Manager roles within Lucent Technologies for 11 year. Ollie points to her time with Lucent Technologies as some of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of her career. As Corporate Communications Manager, she helped launch Lucent Technologies and establish the new company identity in the minds of employees. In addition, she provided executive counsel and managed employee communications around five company reorganizations. During her career, Ollie also has served as a Public Information Office for the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs, and as a Public Relations Assistant for the Chicago Field Museum.

Ollie earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communications Arts from Loyola University and a Master’s degree in Marketing Communications from Roosevelt University. Originally from Chicago, Ollie now resides in Montclair, New Jersey.
